Charter Statement

The Charter Statement for the Sanctuary Renovation Committee was considered and approved by the Session in August 2007.  It's purpose is to clarify the responsibilities of the Committee and provide the general guidance that is necessary for the Committee to conduct it's work.  Specifically, the Statement requires the Committee to 1) capitalize on the legacy of what those before us have created and left in our care, 2) emphasize the celebration of the sacraments and the proclamation of the Word as essential to our worship together, 3) consider current and future worship styles and practices, 4) acknowledge the importance of music in worship, 5) communicate and seek approvals as appropriate throughout the process, and 6) if and when appropriate, assume leadership roles in any capital fund campaign and construction phases.
