Dine with Nine

a great way to get to know other adults in the congregation

It's time to form new dinner groups for the summer! Each group will meet once in June, July and August, and will rotate among group-members homes, or gather at a designated restaurant. When meeting in homes, group members typically bring a dish to share. If you'd like to join a summer dinner group, please fill out a registration card or you may call the church office. Contact Valorie Vliek (681-1677) or Margaret Torrence for more information.

Annual Congregational Retreat

Being the Church God Calls Us to Be” with special Guest John Thornburg

Everyone is encouraged to attend our annual church retreat at Assembly Inn at Montreat September 19-21, 2008.

Want to join in the study, conversation and fellowship provided by this exciting weekend?  Make your reservation by May 30 and receive a $10 discount per household off the total cost of registration.  Your $25 deposit now holds your reservation, final payment due by September 15.

Due to changes in Montreat Conference’s policy we need to have registrations by June 15!  After June 15 check with the church office for available room space.

Our retreat theme is worship:  what do we say and sing and do in worship to be the church God calls us to be?  How do we trust God’s leading when worship waters seem stormy and uncertain?  How do generations, cultures and heritage find common understanding?
