Youth Ministry

First Presbyterian’s Youth Ministry offers a number of ways for youth to participate, including:

Faith Development classes on Sunday morning (9:45-10:45 am)  

Youth Fellowship program on Sunday evenings (5:15-7:15 pm)

Youth Choir (Sunday rehearsals, 4:30-5:15 pm)

Confirmation Class for youth (grades 8 and up) every other year

Senior High Girls Club (monthly weeknight meetings)

Summer Youth Events (Mission Trip, Massanetta Springs and Montreat Youth Conferences)

Special retreats and opportunities for service and fellowship.

So many of you have graciously stepped forward and sent care packages to our college students this year.  Often you were given names of "kids" whom you have never met and yet enthusiastically embraced the idea of generously sharing of your time, resources and spirit with those of us who are "sojourning".  You have been blessings to the students and a blessing to me.  Below are the names of those who contacted me, but I must include spouses and children, though not listed, in the thank-you, for I know that these gifts were often a group effort.  So, on behalf of those in the middle of final exams...many, many thanks.  God bless, Leslie Brenegar

Friday, May 30

Annual Lock-In!

Come for a night full of fun and excitement as we spend time doing various things at church and around town. In addition to playing games at the church like Sardines, we will go out for some fun activities as well. Meet at the church on Friday at 6:00 PM (eat dinner before coming).  The lock-in will end at 7:30 AM on Saturday.  

How to sign up.... Please call Michael’s voice mail (253-1431 x25) by May 26 to reserve a space or e-mail him at mpoulos@fpcasheville.org

Cost... $20 (bring with you on the 30th) Includes snacks and fees for activities.

What to bring... sleeping bag and pillow (yes, some sleep will be encouraged for all!), completed medical release form.

As with all youth group activities, please feel free to invite a friend.  If you do so, they will need to register and complete a medical release form.
