Children in Worship
All children are welcomed into worship, and are encouraged to take an active part in worship, to learn about faith and be recognized as part of the church family
At the 11 a.m. service, younger children may leave for nursery care after the Children’s Moment and passing the peace. Elementary age children are encouraged to remain in the service.
Children are encouraged to participate in worship leadership through ushering, greeting, carrying communion elements, collecting special offering, singing in children's choirs, and coming forward for a Children’s Moment with the minister, witnessing baptism, and participating in special worship services. Most of planned worship participation for children occurs during the 11 a.m. worship service.
Available During Worship:
- Childcare is available for young children. Older pre-school age and kindergartners are encouraged to go to worship for the first fifteen minutes, come forward a Children’s Moment with the pastor, and then join the other children in childcare if preferred.
- Worship bags are available in the baskets in the back of the sanctuary to provide activities for all children during worship. Bags should be returned to the baskets at the end of the service.
