A program of Homeward Bound supported by over 45 local faith communities, Room in the Inn provides an overnight stay of hospitality for women who otherwise would be homeless.
After staying with us for a week, the women (and mattresses!) travel to another faith community.
Volunteers are needed to load/unload mattresses, wash blankets, prepare dinners, serve as dinner hosts, transport women back and forth to the AHOPE Day Center, and spend the night as chaperones. It takes a village to support this ministry of hospitality! We usually need over 45 volunteers each week to support this quarterly ministry.
Volunteer job descriptions and sign-up sheets will be available RIGHT HERE as well as at the receptionist desk of the Wallace Foyer lobby. For more information about how you might help, contact Jean Corliss or Michael Poulos.
