Habitat for Humanity: 26th Presbyterian-Methodist House

SPECIAL OFFERING AUGUST 27
BUILD BEGINS in SEPTEMBER 

First Presbyterian is joining other Presbyterian & Methodist churches in Buncombe County to build the 2017 Presbyterian-Methodist House.  This will be the 26th house jointly built by local Presbyterians and Methodists and will be built in Arden. The home owners will be Nikita Norris and Regina Hunter. Nikita is an Asheville native and is a Head Start teacher while Regina works at Olive Garden  They are delighted about the prospect of moving from a substandard rental unit to a safe, permanent and affordable home of their own to raise their toddler and a newborn due when the house is completed.. The churches are working to raise a significant portion of the $55,000 cost of construction. You can make checks payable to FPC earmarked for Habitat Offering.

A paper sign up sheet is available in the Wallace Foyer.  Our build dates are: Tues. Sept. 5, Thurs. Sept. 14 & 21; Thurs. Oct. 26, Thurs. Nov. 2.
