AmiciMusic, Asheville's award-winning chamber music organization dedicated to performing great music in intimate venues, will perform its first concert at First Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 2 at 7:30PM. The program is called "DANDY D'INDY" and features some great trios for clarinet, cello, and piano including a neglected masterwork by French composer Vincent D'Indy, an early Beethoven trio, and two shorter lyrical works by Emil Hartmann and Friedrich Voight. The performers will be Steve Loew, clarinet; Lawrence Stomberg, cello; and Daniel Weiser, pianist/Artistic Director. All three have performed in countries around the world including England, Egypt, Japan, Australia, Brazil and many more. Dr. Weiser began AmiciMusic in Asheville in 2011 and has performed monthly programs in the region ever since with a wide range of instrumentalists and singers.
