AmiciMusic celebrates Veterans Day with "OVER THERE," a musical tribute to the songs of the World War I era in honor of the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.
The performance takes place on Sunday, November 11 at 2:00 at the First Presbyterian Church in Asheville. Tickets at the door are $20 for general admission, $15 for Church members, and $10 for all Veterans. Children 18 and under are free.
Created by acclaimed director Francis Cullinan, this nostalgic show features singers Jacqueline Culpepper and Dan Boye, along with pianist/Artistic Director Daniel Weiser with Cullinan himself narrating. They will perform fun hits from the era including "Alexander's Ragtime Band and Give My Regards to Broadway," patriotic songs such as "You're a Grand Old Flag" and "God Bless America" and some more tragic songs about the horrors of war including "I Didn't Raise my Boy to be a Soldier" and "Danny Boy."
