“Kaleidoscope of Care” is the theme for our 2018-2019 Stewardship Year.
The kaleidoscope shows many shapes and colors representing all of God’s people; every movement of a kaleidoscope changes the pattern, but it is still closely knit together and beautiful! Each day presents opportunities to move and change in harmony as God’s people.
A steward is a person to whom something is entrusted, and we have been entrusted to use our faithfulness, actions and monies to make a difference with the opportunities of each day. Stewardship is our outward and visible response to God’s year-round grace to us. We represent Christ with our voices, hands and feet throughout our ministries in the congregation, community and world-at-large. Christian stewardship teaches that all we have and all that we are is a gift from God, and we are the stewards – not only of our financial resources, but also of this created earth, our time, our talents, our families, our relationships, life itself, but most importantly of God’s word. Wise stewardship is using these gifts God has given us to do the work God is calling us to do.
In October FPCA will hold our annual pledge campaign, which ensures fiscal accountability and supports our annual budget. You are invited on October 21st for “Ice Cream Sundaes on Sunday” after the 11 a.m. service to celebrate stewardship! As we scoop ice cream and top it off with your favorite toppings we will celebrate our past year and look forward to the future. Please prayerfully consider what you can give to First Presbyterian for 2019 to fund our mission and ministries so they will continue to thrive and grow.
