Saturday Sanctuary (training on Sept. 30)

Saturday Sanctuary:
A welcoming all-inclusive community of neighbors
A neighborhood witnessing to God's reign,
equally sharing and receiving the boundary breaking love of Christ in the heart of Asheville.

Training for all volunteers, Sept. 30 (11 am-12:30 pm)
First Saturday of service, October 7

As a downtown church we have the mandate (Matthew 25:34-40) and privilege to share the boundary breaking love of Christ with everyone in our neighborhood!

From October through March, we open our Fellowship Hall on Saturday afternoons (12:30-3:30) and offer a warm facility, serve a healthy lunch, enjoy movies & popcorn, provide board games & prayer cards- all aimed at creating a safe place to be in community with our downtown neighbors. Every week, approximately 30+ volunteers are needed to help
prepare our meals, set-up, serve, clean-up and most importantly be present with our
neighbors. This is a multi-church effort, with volunteers coming from St. Mary’s Episcopal, St. Eugene’s Catholic as well as the greater Asheville community.
Please prayerfully consider sharing and receiving the love and joy of Christ in the Sanctuary this season.  Your prayers, your presence and your gifts are always welcome and needed.  (Sign Up Here)
