A Gallery Talk (1st Floor Gallery)
Mary Callaway Logan artist and retired United Methodist pastoral counselor uses “found objects” and centering prayer with lectio divina, a contemplative practice,  to express the grace and grit of the Sacred. She uses cultural materials to be re-membered and re-formed into a new wholeness. Join Mary in the gallery as she explains her work.

Beginning September 10

“A New Place to Be: Spiritual Birth & Renewal”  (Room 213) 
This 8 week video series invites you into a better, newer place where change is happening and comes through an engagement with the Liberator of the world.  Theologians, authors and storytellers, such as Richard Rohr, Sarah Bessey, Glennon Doyle Melton and Jean Vanier will stir our imagination so we might capture a glimpse of a dream that is yet to come and at the same time being fulfilled before our very eyes. They will share what has happened in their own lives and how we might join with them in this journey.  Facilitator: Frances Baldwin

September 17   Why the Reformation Matters  (Gardner Fellowship Hall)
 What is the history and significance of the Reformation? What is its importance to present-day Christians?  Come explore these questions and more as we join in celebration of this 500th year of the Reformation.  Teacher: Rev. Coffee Talk 3.0 (Widman Room 107)
Coffee Talk welcomes all FPCA members and visitors, ages 21-40s. Please join us for fellowship and study.  Nursery is available and little ones are also always welcome to join us when we meet. First Bible Class (Room 112)
This class has met consistently for the past 100 years.  Participants study the Bible using “The Present Word” quarterly and occasionally help out with an unfunded ministry or an unfunded need. September Theme- “Signs of God’s Covenant”.   Teacher: Hugh Howell
